CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc. announced it has joined the AI Governance Alliance (AIGA), a global initiative led by the World Economic Forum, to advance responsible and effective artificial intelligence (AI) practices across industries, with a focus on the property and casualty (P&C) insurance sector.
The AIGA brings together more than 600 members from 500 organizations, representing leaders in business, academia, government and civil society. Its mission is to support the development of AI systems that are transparent, accountable and aligned with human and societal values. Through participation, CCC aims to help shape the frameworks, regulations and technical standards that guide AI’s evolution while ensuring alignment with the unique needs of insurers, collision repairers and related stakeholders.
“Our customers are embracing AI-enabled innovation to modernize operations and better serve their own customers,” said John Goodson, chief product and technology officer at CCC. “Joining the AI Governance Alliance is a strategic investment in their journey, helping our customers apply AI more effectively as they prepare their organizations for what’s next.”
A pioneer in AI development specific to the insurance economy, CCC has leveraged AI for more than a decade to streamline claims and repair processes. Its solutions include damage prediction, subrogation automation, injury identification and total loss determination. In 2024, the company introduced CCC Intelligent Experience (IX) Cloud, which integrates event-driven architecture with existing applications and workflows to deliver advanced AI-driven insights in real time.
The AIGA was launched following the 2023 Responsible AI Leadership Summit and supports five core workstreams, including responsible AI integration, resilient governance, regulatory frameworks, competitiveness and technical standard advancement. For CCC, the alliance offers access to global AI trends and collaboration opportunities that will further enhance its platform and capabilities.
“Participating in the Alliance allows us to align that innovation with best practices, while staying focused on the industries we know best,” Goodson said.
By aligning with AIGA, CCC reinforces its commitment to responsible AI and its role as a technology leader in helping insurance and repair industry professionals manage digital transformation effectively and ethically.
