The Refinish Distributors Alliance (RDA) held its Spring Member Impact Performance Conference, April 22–24 at the Wyndham Bayside in San Diego, CA. Executive Director Ben Jacobson welcomed another strong turnout, which included RDA members, manufacturer partners and valued guests.
Jacobson opened the meeting with this year’s theme: “Setting the Stage for New Revenue Streams.” Over the course of two days, discussions focused on opportunities presented by both new and existing vendor partners, emphasizing how collaboration can drive future success.
The conference featured a standout lineup of speakers. Industry expert Pat Baliva, executive sales director – North America at Saint-Gobain, kicked off the meeting. On day two, renowned detailer and founder of The Detail Mafia and Detailing Success, Renny Doyle, representing Dynabrade, launched the day’s sessions. A series of panel discussions followed, highlighting industrial and other emerging opportunities available to RDA members. Economist and business expert Gene Marks also delivered a highly relevant keynote, helping attendees understand key political, economic and technological trends impacting business, particularly timely given today’s tariff uncertainties.

The first evening featured a lively reception and dinner aboard the historic Berkeley steamship at the Maritime Museum, located just steps from the hotel. Guests also had the opportunity to tour the Star of India floating museum. On the second night, members and partners gathered for the RDA Partners Appreciation Reception and Dinner, capped off with a performance by mind-blowing illusionist Kevin Viner.
“We were thrilled to welcome new faces -- potential new members, two new members, and two new vendor partners,” said Jacobson. “Their fresh perspectives and collaboration are essential to our continued growth and success.”
RDA thanked all of its supporting partners who sponsored the event and helped make it a success.
