Clement Auto Group announced Ian Christopher Hughes, a senior at McCluer North High School in Florissant, MO, as the winner of a 2025 Ford Mustang through the group’s annual Drive for Excellence program. The vehicle, donated by Clement Ford in O’Fallon, MO, honors Hughes’s exceptional dedication to academic achievement.

The Drive for Excellence program celebrates high school seniors across the region who demonstrate strong academic performance and personal growth.

Students from local high schools can submit their report cards featuring A’s and B’s at any of Clement Auto Group’s six dealerships. With each submission, students earn a chance to qualify for the grand prize drawing, held this year on April 26. After the third report card, 20 lucky students were chosen as finalists. Among those, Hughes walked away with the keys to the new Mustang.

“Ian’s dedication to excellence in education truly embodies the spirit of this program, and we are honored to recognize his accomplishments,” said Evangeline Schultz-Sutton, a spokesperson for Clement Auto Group.

Now in its latest edition, the program continues to rely on the collective support of educators, parents and community members.

“Your ongoing support, encouragement and commitment to celebrating academic achievement are what make this initiative both possible and impactful,” Schultz-Sutton added.

Applications for next year’s Drive for Excellence will open in September. More information can be found at driveforexcellence.com.
