Dent Fix Equipment announced the expansion of its professional riveting lineup with the RIV-E Multi-Function Riveter series. The new battery-powered RIV-E 80 (DF-SPR80B) and RIV-E 60 (DF-SPR60B) systems complement Dent Fix's proven pneumatic riveting solutions, giving collision repair professionals the capability to expand their riveting operations beyond the constraints of air lines and compressor capacity.
Expanding Beyond Traditional Limitations
While Dent Fix's pneumatic riveters like the DF-SPR70 deliver up to 10 tons of force for demanding applications, the new RIV-E series addresses the growing need for mobility and operational flexibility in modern collision repair facilities. The RIV-E 80 delivers up to 8 tons of computer-controlled pressure, while the RIV-E 60 provides 6 tons of force — both engineered to expand repair capabilities to areas where pneumatic systems cannot reach.
"Our customers have relied on our pneumatic riveters for their most demanding repairs," said Geoff Preston, VP of marketing at Dent Fix Equipment. "The RIV-E series doesn't replace that capability — it expands it. Now technicians can take the same professional-grade riveting performance to any location in the shop.”
Scalable Performance Architecture
The RIV-E series is designed with expandability at its core. The RIV-E 60 serves as "the perfect introduction to Self-Piercing Riveting with the ability to expand later," allowing shops to start with essential capabilities and scale up as their aluminum repair volume grows.
Both models feature:
• Multi-Function Capability: Self-Piercing, Flow Form, Solid, and Blind (with optional adapter) rivet applications in one portable system. Also performs Hole punching, rivet removal, and flattening.
• Controlled Precision: Consistent, repeatable results that match OEM specifications.
• Extended Runtime: Two batteries are included — 300+ rivets per battery charge with rapid 60-minute recharging.
• Ergonomic Mobility: Smart design enables repairs in confined spaces and elevated positions.
Modular Expansion Options
Both RIV-E models support optional add-ons to further expand capabilities, including OEM-specific die sets for Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Range Rover, Audi, Tesla and Ford applications, plus blind rivet adapters and medium/larger arm configurations for enhanced reach and versatility.
Complementing Existing Operations
Rather than replacing pneumatic systems, the RIV-E series enhances overall shop capabilities. While pneumatic riveters excel in high-volume production environments with established air systems, the battery-powered units extend riveting capabilities to:
• Areas without compressed air access
• Overhead and awkward-angle repairs
• Quick rivet/panel removal to assess the damage.
This dual-capability approach allows collision repair facilities to maximize their aluminum repair efficiency across all scenarios while maintaining the reliability.
Immediate Availability and Support
The RIV-E 80 and RIV-E 60 are available immediately through Dent Fix's network of authorized distributors or dentfix.com. Both models are backed by comprehensive support and integrate seamlessly with existing Dent Fix Equipment consumables.
