South Carolina-based MSO Better Collision Centers announced the opening of its newest shop in Summerville, SC — its 10th location and first greenfield, designed and built entirely from the ground up to reflect its vision for the future of collision repair.

Unlike previous expansions that adapted existing spaces, the Summerville shop was intentionally designed to embody efficiency and ease. Every element, from the high-productivity workflow layout to the inviting customer lounge, was crafted to enhance transparency, speed and comfort.

The result is a modern environment that reflects how Better Collision believes the repair experience should look and feel for both customers and technicians.

Summerville has rapidly emerged as one of the most dynamic growth markets in the nation, driven by strong job creation and steady economic expansion. Over the past year, local employment grew by more than 4%, outpacing national averages and creating new opportunities across industries. Opening a shop here reflects Better Collision’s belief in building where progress and purpose meet.

“This shop represents a new era for us,” said Jonathon Best, founder and CEO, in a statement. “Starting from the ground up gave us the freedom to build something that truly reflects who we are and where we are headed next.”

Performance Manager, VP of Operations Join Team

Better Collision Centers also announced Chris Shook as its new performance manager and Jordan Buster as vice president of operations — the fourth and fifth recent additions to the senior leadership team.

Shook has more than 20 years of experience in the collision repair industry, beginning his career in the shop and advancing quickly through every aspect of the collision space, earning BMW and Audi certifications. He has opened new facilities, revitalized underperforming locations, and led high-volume operations exceeding industry benchmarks.

“Chris joins us at a pivotal time in our expansion,” said Best. “His operational insight and ability to improve performance from the ground up make him a key part of our next growth phase. This appointment strengthens our leadership team and enhances our ability to deliver consistent excellence as we scale across the Southeast.”

As vice president of operations, Buster will oversee operational performance, team development and process optimization across all Better Collision locations.

Buster began his career in 2019 with John Harris Body Shops and quickly advanced through leadership roles following its acquisition by Gerber Collision & Glass. He oversaw multiple locations and leads teams focused on operational excellence and customer experience. Most recently, as market manager, he managed many locations across South Carolina and North Carolina, where he standardized complex processes and coached emerging leaders.

“Jordan is unique in his ability to bridge analytics with culture,” said Best. “He understands that the best operations come from empowering people with structure, clarity and accountability. His leadership style reflects the balance we strive for as a company, high performance without losing the human touch.”
