Tesla Opening Sales and Service Center in Vermont

The first Tesla store in the state will offer service and direct sales.

The new Vermont store will offer service.

Tesla is opening its first store in Vermont, in a former grocery store in South Burlington.

In addition to offering service to owners who until now had to travel out of the state or call in a mobile service van, the store will be able to sell vehicles directly to new customers, after Vermont amended its laws prohibiting such sales in 2021. The City of South Burlington also had to change the building site’s zoning to allow for car sales.

Todd Lockwood, manager of the Vermont Tesla Owners Group, told the Burlington Free Press the group, which has about 300 members, played a key role in getting the state law changed.
