Repairify and Opus IVS announced their intent to combine their diagnostics businesses.
The proposed combination would unite Repairify's diagnostics brands, asTech and BlueDriver, with Opus IVS, creating a larger entity focused on remote diagnostics, programming and ADAS calibrations. Brian Herron, current CEO of Opus IVS, would lead the combined diagnostics business, according to the joint announcement.
"Diagnostics and calibrations are becoming central to every repair," said Srisu Subrahmanyam, CEO of Repairify. "By bringing together asTech's remote service excellence, Opus IVS's advanced hardware engineering and software platform capabilities, and BlueDriver's broad mechanical repair presence, we can innovate faster and deliver more value to our repairer customers."
Complementary capabilities
The companies characterized the combination as bringing together complementary capabilities. asTech has built its presence in remote OEM diagnostic services for collision repair shops, while Opus IVS, which includes DrewTech, Autologic, Farsight, BlueLink, AutoEnginuity, and Auto Techcelerators, has focused on advanced hardware engineering and live technical support from brand-specific master technicians. BlueDriver serves the mechanical repair market.
Both companies have established significant footholds in the collision repair industry. asTech has partnerships with major insurers including GEICO, while Opus IVS has agreements with State Farm and Allstate for its ADAS MAP calibration identification software.

Brands to remain distinct
According to the announcement, asTech, Opus IVS, and BlueDriver will remain distinct brands within the combined organization and will continue to support their current products and customers. The companies plan to integrate capabilities over time to expand diagnostic offerings and streamline workflows.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed.
