Michigan ADAS Calibrations & Glass in Green Charter Township, MI, reopened its doors just two days after a fire severely damaged its original facility, the company announced Aug. 25. The business is now operating in an adjacent building at 9100 Northland Drive, formerly occupied by JR Customs and Collision, allowing operations to continue with minimal disruption, according to reporting by Pioneer.
The fire broke out shortly before 4 p.m. Aug. 23, at the original Michigan ADAS building. Firefighters located the blaze in the attic space of the building’s north side and brought it under control in approximately 45 minutes. No vehicles were present inside at the time, although scorched equipment was removed by crews. Fire Chief Steve Schroeder described the damage as moderate, adding that a full assessment remains pending.
The transition to the new building was made possible because JR Customs and Collision had recently relocated to a newer, larger facility on the property.
The company reassured customers via an Aug. 24 Facebook post: "We are still open for business and ready to serve our community. If you have an appointment with us, we will be available to replace your windshield."
According to the company’s website, Michigan ADAS handles both in-shop and on-site calibrations and glass repairs, including full coordination with insurers for accidents. The company’s mission emphasizes personalized service by owners Jason and Amber Rehkopf, who also own JR Customs and Collision, leveraging their decades-long background in collision repair to meet growing regional demand for ADAS services.
