The Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) announced the addition of two new board members: Aric Haarala of Omega EDI and Joshua Levine of Arrow Auto Glass. Both bring extensive auto glass industry experience and currently serve on key AGSC committees.

Haarala, vice president of Omega EDI and of sales and business development at Glass Mechanix Solutions, also chairs AGSC’s Member Benefits Committee. He serves on the Marketing Committee, the National Windshield Repair Division (NWRD) Executive Committee, and the Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standards (ROLAGS) 2 Committee.

“I’m enthused to serve as a board member,” Haarala said in the release. “I care about the people in this industry, and I’m interested in doing anything I can to help make their lives better. I believe that AGSC has the industry’s best interests at heart, and I’m excited to be part of continuing that vision.”

Haarala added that his work at Omega EDI gives him access to a broad range of industry feedback. “At Omega EDI, I hear everybody’s voices in the industry every day,” he said. “That allows me to bring a unique perspective to the board.”

Levine, co-owner of Pennsylvania-based Arrow Auto Glass, oversees operations, IT and technician training. He is active on AGSC’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Education, and Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard™ (AGRSS) committees.

“I’m here to listen and learn from the other board members as well as give back to the industry as much as I can,” Levine said. A fifth-generation auto glass professional, Levine noted, “I can’t really remember not knowing the industry.”

“We’re very lucky to have both Aric Haarala and Joshua Levine on the board,” said AGSC President Jacques Navant. “Each will bring value to AGSC, and I look forward to working more closely with both of them.”

Both Haarala and Levine expressed enthusiasm for supporting AGSC initiatives, including ongoing efforts around customer service representative (CSR) development and ADAS certification programs for auto glass professionals.
