3 Killed, 1 Injured in Ohio Auto Repair Shop Explosion

The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined.

Officials in Hillsboro, OH, said an explosion and subsequent fire Nov. 28 at an auto repair shop caused the death of three people and injured one more.

According to WLWT5 News, Paint Creek Joint EMS & Fire District Chief David Manning said the fire started around 4 p.m. at Jimbo’s Auto Repair after the explosion, the cause of which is under investigation.

Witnesses reported feeling the explosion shake the ground from several blocks away, but officials said no nearby structures were damaged.

The identities of the victims were not released, but Manning said it was believed all three were employees of the shop.
