Max Ford and Max Hyundai of Manhattan, KS, owned by Mark Muller and Bob Jacaway of Max Motors, were recently acquired by Paul Tew and Jordan Peterson of 2Auto Group, and will operate under new names: ManhattanFord and Manhattan Hyundai, according to Pinnacle Mergers & Acquisitions, which facilitated the sale.
This is Pinnacle’s second transaction with Muller and Jacaway this year. The firm previously brokered the sale of Ford of Harrisonville in Harrisonville, MO.
This also represents Pinnacle’s third transaction with 2Auto Group, following its acquisitions of Santa Fe Mazda in April 2024 and Kansas City Hyundai in December 2024.
“Our long-standing relationship with Mark Muller and Bob Jacaway was foundational to the success of this transaction,” said Wes Hamilton, executive vice president at Pinnacle Mergers & Acquisitions, which represented Max Motors. “We’ve built a strong relationship over the years, and it’s always an honor to help them achieve their goals. We have also supported 2Auto Group several times, making it a pleasure to work with both parties on this deal.”
“Wes Hamilton with Pinnacle Mergers and Acquisitions has represented us on two recent transactions,” said Muller. “On both, he provided quality buyers who were both deal makers and problem solvers. Wes understands that deals have to be win-win for both sides, and he brought us buyers of character and integrity and was able to successfully navigate the complexities of the transaction to make it a win for all.”
“Working with Pinnacle Mergers & Acquisitions was a game-changer for us,” said Tew. “Their ability to navigate complex situations and structure deals in a way that works for everyone involved is second to none. They brought experience, discretion and real leadership to the table; we couldn’t have asked for a better partner in this transaction.”
