Driven Brands Collision Group surpasses $6 million for cystic fibrosis
Driven Brands Collision Group, parent company of Abra, CARSTAR, and Fix Auto USA, announced it has surpassed $6 million raised for cystic fibrosis research, care, and advocacy. The initiative began more than 25 years ago when a CARSTAR franchise partner's granddaughter was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and has since expanded across the collision group's network.
Fundraising efforts include car washes, golf tournaments, charity walks, and a new Gift of Repair initiative through which participating locations donate for every positive customer review received. This year alone, the three brands collectively raised over $152,000. "This milestone represents the heart of our organization," said Damien Reyna, Chief Operating Officer, Collision, Driven Brands.
Northside Collision Centers technician marks 19 years of I-CAR Platinum
Andrew Selesky, a lead technician at Northside Collision Centers in Central New York, has completed every available I-CAR class in every category and has maintained his I-CAR Platinum Individual designation since January 1, 2007.
"Andrew sets a standard of excellence that elevates our entire team," said COO Yves Pierre-Louis.
CAWA announces winter forum, scholarship deadline
The California Automotive Wholesalers' Association will hold its Winter Leadership & Educational Forum January 27-29, 2026, at the Silverado Resort & Spa in Napa. Sessions will cover AI's impact on the industry, maximizing relationships with dealerships, and legislative and regulatory updates. A YANG Regional Meet-Up will be held in conjunction with the forum.
Separately, CAWA announced that applications for its Memorial Scholarship Awards are open through March 31, 2026. The scholarships support students in California, Nevada, and Arizona pursuing degrees, accreditations, or certificates in the auto care industry.
