On Aug. 9, the CARSTAR Chicago Business Group played a lead role in the eighth annual Fairways for Airways golf outing, contributing $10,200 of the more than $24,000 raised to benefit cystic fibrosis research and awareness.
The event, held at the Sanctuary Golf Course in New Lenox, IL, drew approximately 80 golfers, including community members and business leaders, and featured a CARSTAR-hosted booth where team members promoted their collision repair services and engaged attendees with branded swag. Organizers described the outing as a day blending friendly competition with meaningful philanthropy.
“The Fairways for Airways event is one we look forward to every year,” said Justin Fisher, owner of CARSTAR Yorkville and CARSTAR Poplar, highlighting the opportunity to “rally our team and community around a cause that truly makes a difference.”
Damien Reyna, COO of collision for CARSTAR’s parent company, Driven Brands, reinforced the corporate value of community engagement: “At CARSTAR, we believe in giving back to the communities where we live and work,” he said. “It’s a perfect example of how our local CARSTAR owners lead with heart—supporting important causes while building strong connections with their neighbors.”
CARSTAR has a well-established history of corporate philanthropy. Across the U.S., numerous CARSTAR shops participate in the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides program, refurbishing and donating vehicles to community members in need.
