Caliber Collision and its affiliated brands have partnered with the U.S. Army through the Partnership for Your Success (PaYS) Program, offering military service members a direct pathway to post-service employment in the automotive repair industry.
The partnership was formalized during a signing ceremony at the NCO Academy of Fort Liberty in Fayetteville, NC, where Caliber leadership and senior Army officials, including Brig. Gen. Charles Morrison and Dan Dederick, civilian aide to the Secretary of the Army, celebrated the collaboration.
The Army PaYS Program guarantees participating service members at least five job interviews with partnering companies upon completion of their service commitment. Caliber’s addition to the program enables soldiers to explore career opportunities within its national network of auto body repair and glass service centers.
“Caliber is proud to partner with the Army PaYS program and to expand on the support we provide to service members with employment opportunities in the automotive repair industry,” said David Dart, Caliber’s chief people officer. “Programs like Army PaYS and Caliber’s innovative, no-cost training programs, Changing Lanes and the Technician Apprentice Program (TAP), are essential to provide working opportunities to those that have selflessly served our country.”
Antonio Johnson, PaYS program manager, also welcomed Caliber’s involvement. “Active-duty service members who take part in the PaYS Program agree to fulfill their duty obligations with the opportunity to interview with five PaYS partners from companies like Caliber,” Johnson said.
Caliber's support for veterans extends beyond job interviews. Through its Changing Lanes program, Caliber offers active-duty service members the chance to align their military-acquired skills with careers at more than 1,800 locations across 41 states. The program allows participants to begin career preparation before leaving the military.
Over the past 18 months, 116 service members have graduated from Changing Lanes, all of whom secured full-time positions at Caliber. Since launching the initiative in 2016, Caliber has invested $5 million in the program.
The partnership reinforces Caliber’s ongoing commitment to veteran employment and aims to address talent shortages across the automotive service industry with disciplined, highly trained workers transitioning from military service.
