Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus’ collision repair technology program has once again achieved continued accreditation status from the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation, reinforcing its reputation for high-quality industry training.

The program’s re-accreditation follows a rigorous review by ASE, which commended ATU-Ozark for upholding curriculum standards that meet the evolving needs of the collision repair industry.

“The explosion in collision technology makes your high-quality collision repair and refinish training program more valuable than ever,” wrote ASE Education Foundation President Michael Coley in a letter to the institution.

ATU-Ozark’s program equips students with skills in frame alignment, dent removal, part replacement, color matching, painting and basic airbrushing. It also provides instruction in solvent-based paints and environmentally friendly waterborne paint technologies.

Kenneth Floyd, program chair and faculty member, credited the accomplishment to collective dedication. “It’s a proud moment for me, as the collision repair technology program chair, to receive this accreditation once again,” Floyd said. “With it, we’re able to provide students with up-to-date ASE training that helps open doors to higher-end shops and puts them on a path to long-term success.”

Floyd also highlighted the collaborative effort behind the achievement: “Maintaining this accreditation takes a lot of hard work, and I want to thank our administration as well. This recognition is truly a team effort. I’m proud to be part of an institution that genuinely cares about the quality of its programs and the future of its students.”
