Ford's new ADAS job aid on OEM1Stop lists the repairs that trigger calibration, from front bumper beam removal to windshield replacement.

Ford job aid lists what triggers ADAS calibration

A new Ford Motor Co. ADAS Job Aid is now on OEM1Stop, a reference listing components, mounting locations, and the repairs that trigger calibration or programming. Ford labels it reference only, with full procedures in the Ford Workshop Manual.

The front radar, which Ford calls the cruise control module, needs a manual adjustment plus a dynamic routine with the Ford Diagnostic and Repair System (FDRS) whenever the module, its bracket, or the front bumper beam is replaced or removed and reinstalled, "including the same hardware placed back in the same position." A bumper cover replacement alone needs no routine if the module stays put.

The windshield camera needs a dynamic alignment after camera or windshield replacement or camera reinstallation. Taillight-mounted corner radars need alignment whenever the taillight comes off. Ford says parking sensors should get azimuth and elevation checks whenever the bumper cover is removed.

Range Rover Sport SV rear subframes may be cracked

Jaguar Land Rover North America is recalling 1,073 2024–2026 Range Rover Sport SV vehicles whose rear subframes may be cracked, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The manufacturer's Part 573 report lists 873. A supplier forging defect let cracks slip past inspection, and some vehicles lack production images that could rule cracks out. Land Rover says a cracked subframe can weaken the structure and raise injury risk in a crash.

Under NHTSA campaign 26V613, dealers will replace subframes known to be cracked and inspect the rest. Interim owner letters are due by Nov. 20, and Land Rover reports no U.S. claims or injuries.

Toyota and Lexus steering knuckles may fracture after a hard hit

Toyota is recalling 617 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander, Lexus RX, and Lexus TX models because one batch of forged aluminum front steering knuckles skipped a production step, according to the Part 573 report. Toyota's analysis found the weaker knuckles could fracture at the strut or tie rod attachment point after a hard impact, such as a pothole or curb strike, reducing or eliminating steering control.

Dealers will check each knuckle's batch and replace affected parts at no charge. Owner letters for campaign 26V598 are expected Nov. 2–16.
