Tom Ogaz Installed as Chair of CAWA's 2024 Board of Directors

Ogaz and other key officers were sworn in during the organization's annual dinner gala held as part of Industry Week. 

Tom Ogaz, general manager of Parts Authority in Southern California, was officially installed as the chair of the Board of Directors for the California Automotive Wholesalers' Association (CAWA) during the organization's annual dinner gala held as part of Industry Week. 

Alongside Ogaz, several other key officers were also sworn in to lead the association, including Vice-Chair Wayne Schaack from the Pronto Group, Treasurer Dan Hanson Jr. of Hanson Distributing Company, and Secretary David Simms of NAPA Auto Parts Lodi & Galt. Immediate Past Chair of the Board Young Suhr Jr., of APW Knox Seeman Warehouse, also remains an integral part of CAWA's leadership team. 

This transition in leadership is slated to take effect on Jan. 1, 2024.

Motorcar Parts of America and President and CEO Selwyn Joffe provided exclusive sponsorship of the dinner gala.

CAWA's next significant event is the Leadership & Educational Forum scheduled for Feb. 21-23, 2024, in Napa, CA. The event will be hosted at the Silverado Resort & Spa and will feature Bill Hanvey, president and CEO of the Auto Care Association, as a guest speaker. One of the highlights of the forum will be a panel discussion on "AI and its impact on the Automotive Industry," providing insights into the evolving landscape of the sector.

CAWA's committees and the Board of Directors will convene during this event to engage in discussions on pertinent industry topics.
