On the Lighter Side: Man Breaks Cannonball Run Record Driving Rental Mustang Across America

Written by Ian Harvey, The Vintage News

The Cannonball Run, the drive across America, has a new record holder.

Calling the litigation of General Motors Co.'s racketeering lawsuit against Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV "a waste of time and resources," a federal judge on June 23 took the unusual step of ordering the companies' two CEOs to meet within the next week to reach a "sensible" resolution.

While U.S. new-vehicle sales in June are expected to decline as much as 30%, research firms on June 25 maintained that retail demand has held up relatively well during the coronavirus outbreak and the question now is whether the industry can rebuild inventories fast enough as demand rebounds.

While still much softer than year-ago levels, June’s used-car sales are expected to climb 16% month-over-month, according to the latest forecast from TrueCar subsidiary ALG.

Thousands of exhibitors and attendees are registered and planning to attend the 2020 SEMA Show, taking place Nov. 3-6, in Las Vegas, NV.

In a 24-hour long marathon mark-up, the U.S. House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure approved H.R. 2, the INVEST in America Act.
