Upcoming BAR Advisory Group Meeting

The BAR Advisory Group (BAG) was established to increase the level of communication between the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR), the automotive repair and smog check industry and stakeholders.

The advisory group is an informal, voluntary membership group that meets regularly to provide input to the chief on BAR programs.
The California Autobody Association (CAA) will be participating in these meetings, and they are open to the public. CAA members are always encouraged to participate.


Storage Fees for Automotive Repair Dealers Workshop, 2-3 p.m. Oct. 21
The BAR is developing regulations to bring together existing laws governing storage fees, codify BAR’s guidance to auto repair dealer’s regarding storage fees and clarify BAR’s authority to address fees under AB 471. 
Auto Body & Windshield Repair Workshop, 3:15-4:15 p.m. Oct. 21
The BAR is proposing regulations to clarify requirements for the auto body repair and windshield repair industries to address technical advances in automotive repair. 


The BAR is conducting these workshops Oct. 21. See links here and here for presentation. CAA plans on attending and will report.
