The meeting, titled “Why You Should Be Scanning and How to Properly Estimate Scanning Services,” drew a crowd of 85 attendees from all over Southern California. The meeting featured a presentation by Michael Quinn and Frank LaViola of AirPro Diagnostics.
The Q&A and discussion that followed included an actual example of a scan on an Acura MDX from Fountain Valley Bodyworks. After a bit of research, the shop learned that the mirror sensor recalibration involved a 10-minute drive rather than a trip to the dealership service department---proof that scanning, researching remedies and using OEM procedures save time and limit liability.
The event was one of the largest and well-attended CAA meetings in Southern California.
The meeting took place from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and was hosted at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim.
