OR Program Offers Auto Tech Students Conversion Training

The Advanced Transportation Technology Center (ATTC) in Lebanon, OR, a division of Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC), is partnering with the industry, both locally and nationally, to meet the growing need for trained, skilled transportation technicians to support a variety of new vehicles and propulsion systems.

CAWA Installs 2018 Officers of the Board of Directors

At the CAWA 2017 annual dinner meeting, held in conjunction with Industry Week in Las Vegas, Jack Gosnell of Next Level Parts, Inc. was installed as the Association’s 2018 Chair of the Board. 

Starting from the last day of August, September was a busy month for ASA-Northwest.

On August 23, ASE’s Western States Consultant, Walt Commans, taught a free workshop on ASE test taking for members of ASA Northwest’s Vancouver/Portland Chapter for the second consecutive year. 

ASA Northwest held its 24th Annual Golf Tournament at the Eagles Pride Golf Course on August 9, attended by more than 130 golfers and sponsors.

At the June leadership meeting, the CAWA Board of Directors elected Tom Seboldt of O’Reilly Auto Parts to the Board of Directors as its 2018 Secretary.

ASA Northwest members convened at the Clearwater Resort in Suquamish, WA  from June 22--25 for the association's 2017 Summer Retreat.

In previous months, we published several articles concerning AB 1679 and its impact on the collision repair industry.

CAA Meeting Attendees Learn to Negotiate Pre & Post Scans

UTI Long Beach students also attended the CAA meeting as part of the second annual UTI Tech Showcase. CAA members were able to talk with students about their recent projects and latest equipment certifications.


On Thursday, June 22, members from several California Autobody Associations in Southern California gathered with students at Universal Technical Institute-Long Beach for the chapters' monthly meeting.
