CAWA Scholarship Program Awards Evolve Scan Tool to Christina Schneider

OTC and O’Reilly Auto Parts have enhanced CAWA’s 2018 scholarship program by awarding the highest-ranking student seeking a career as an automotive technician an Evolve scan tool. 

Program Representative II Mark Guess, who works for the Field Operations and Enforcement Division at the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR), made a two-part presentation to the members of the East Bay chapter of the California Autobody Association (EB-CAA) on June 16 at Back 40 Texas BBQ in Pleasant Hill, CA. 

ASA Northwest members gathered from June 21--24 at the Red Lion Hanford House in Richland, WA, for the association’s 2018 Semi-Annual Summer Retreat and Management Conference.

CAWA Announces 2018 Scholarship Winners

CAWA, representing the automotive parts industry, is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2018 scholarship awards. 

On May 9, the Spokane Chapter of ASA Northwest held its third annual Celebration of Excellence Awards Ceremony at Spokane Community College in Spokane, WA.

Every year, the California Autobody Association co-hosts CAA/ASCCA/Joint Automotive Aftermarket Industry Legislative Day as automotive repair industry members in the Golden State convene at the Capitol in Sacramento to let their voices be heard.

Alltrade Tools Supports CAWA's Scholarship Program

CAWA is pleased to announce that Alltrade Tools, thanks to CAWA Board member Greg Livingston, will make available “$500 Powerbuilt gift certificates” to the 2018 association scholarship awardees.

ASA Northwest produced its 2018 Automotive Training Expo (ATE) March 16--18 at the Doubletree Hilton Seattle Airport. The event sold out for the fifth year in a row.

On March 15, the Northwest Automotive Trades Association (NATA) hosted a Lunch and Learn event in Portland, OR, featuring Tom Engel of Vantage PBS to discuss compliancy with the upcoming Oregon Equal Pay Act.
