Tesla’s in-house insurance program was set to officially go live the week of Oct. 11, CEO Elon Musk revealed during the 2021 Shareholder’s Meeting held Oct. 7 at Gigafactory Texas.

In late 2019, Tesla launched Tesla Insurance in California exclusively.
