On Sept. 26-28, the Independent Garage Owners of North Carolina (IGONC) will host its 2019 Automotive Service and Technology Expo (ASTE) at the Embassy Suites and Convention Center in Cary, NC.
According to IGONC Executive Director Bob Pulverenti, “As ASTE continues to grow and garner national prominence, we are excited to work with so many new vendors as well as repair shops from all over the country. It is our mission to provide an educational, fun event at a cost-effective price.”
As the largest aftermarket automotive show in the southeast, ASTE features two full days of training classes, a trade show, networking opportunities, an awards dinner and much more. This year’s event boasts 36 management and technical seminars taught by nationally known speakers.
ASTE 2019 will commence on Thursday, Sept. 26 with registration, a manager’s reception, the ASTE pre-party and an IGONC hospitality suite.
On Friday, Sept. 27, attendees can choose from nine educational seminars, scheduled from 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Rick White of 180Biz will present “A Fail-Safe Path to Profit,” Dirk Fuchs of ZF Technologies will discuss “ZF/TRW Chassis and ADAS Technology,” and CARQUEST’s David Patrick will cover “Chassis, Steering and Suspension.” Keith Glasgow of ACDelco is scheduled to discuss “Diesel Emissions and Exhaust Aftertreatment, while ACDC’s Craig Van Batenburg explores “Grid Charging, Diagnosis and Repair.”
WorldPac’s Bernie Thompson will teach attendees about pressure transducers in “The Pressure is On,” John Forro of AST Training will present “Quick Check Diagnostics,” and Repair Shop Coach Ron Ipach will share marketing and sales strategies during “From Zero to $1 Million in Sales in One Year.” Kim Walker of Shop Marketing Pros will discuss how to develop a unique, clear message during “How to Use the StoryBrand Framework to Clarify Your Message.”
The morning’s agenda will end with a Town Hall Forum on “Technician Retention” which will be hosted by Carm Capriotto of Remarkable Result. Capriotto will also be creating live podcasts throughout the event, and IGONC is excited to welcome another special guest, Frank Leutz, host of podcast and video program Wrench Nation who will be featuring the event through live videos.
