As part of its 2017/2018 Professional Business Series, the workshop was held at Advance Auto Parts (CARQUEST) in Denver, CO, and included dinner. Twenty attendees participated in the evening.
According to ASA-CO board member Darrin Barney, “It was great! Greg Marchand is an excellent instructor.”
Marchand’s seminar focused on how workflow is critical to increased productivity, which leads to customer satisfaction. He shared ways to improve efficiency and identify inefficiencies in the shop.
Barney recalled, “It went well, and lots of good information about how to improve shop efficiency was provided, such as making sure that your techs and team have all the tools needed to perform their work efficiently. It is a constant ‘work in process’ to ensure that your business is producing at its best. Look at current procedures, create new ones or improve existing ones, including phones, parking, communication with vendors, customers, technicians, cleanliness of areas, customer shuttles, etc.”
ASA-CO hosted this event to help shop owners and managers increase productivity in their facilities. The associations believe these types of meetings are beneficial because they “help shop owners and managers improve their businesses and their lives,” Barney shared.
“Continuing education is critical for our growth, both as businesses and individuals. ASA is great at helping you to succeed!” Barney said.
