5G connectivity and expanding screens are all part of the futuristic vehicle cockpit.

Samsung unveiled its latest Digital Cockpit ahead of CES 2021, and it's a marvel of electronic advancements and technology.

Complete with swiveling screens and the latest Samsung tech, the South Korean firm's Digital Cockpit is designed to simplify communication and deliver on-the-go entertainment that means passengers and the driver make the most of their automotive moment.

So what's in store for future Samsung Digital Cockpit users? A 49-inch QLED display with an immersive sound system, for one. The numerous moveable displays around the cockpit transform the vehicle into a comfortable all-purpose space.

Not only will these screens and speakers be useful for entertainment such as gaming or watching live concerts, but they can turn the vehicle into a remote office, complete with video conferencing.

In terms of driving and screens, the center of the steering wheel replaces a typical car horn with a driver-exclusive screen. This 8.8-inch touchscreen LCD display works...

...as a controller for entertainment, adjusting volume and navigating the menu, as well as displaying the horn touch button and other driver-related necessities.

On top of this, 5G technology will be one of the Digital Cockpit's main strengths. It'll enhance the users' experience as they'll be able to use these features without facing any interruptions.

The system includes a health service that monitors the passengers' health before and during the ride. Stress levels are regularly analyzed throughout the ride, and will automatically adjust the car's lighting, scent, or music in order to promote a relaxed state of mind. It also helps keep drivers alert and awake by keeping a close eye on the movement of their eyelids and sleep patterns.

As automakers move towards technology for driverless cars, Samsung's Digital Cockpit is one option to fill the passengers' time while they move.
