A fire at Gerber Collision and Glass, 1365 Broadway NE, Salem, MA, created flames and heavy smoke early in the evening June 27.

The Salem Fire Department received the call at 5:41 p.m., went to a second alarm and had the blaze contained about half an hour later, according to Batallion Chief Ty Gunesch.

Salem Fire spokesperson Gregory Walsh said the fire was in a small shed outside of the main building that included some equipment.
