The Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG) had a busy few weeks in late April and the beginning of May, hosting three Regional Meet-Ups.
The first was held on April 26 in Tampa, FL, in conjunction with the 2019 ACPN Conference. YANG held another meet-up on May 9 at the Hyatt Regency in Bonita Springs, FL, during the 2019 ACA Leadership Conference and on May 13, the group met again in Farmington Hills, MI.
“The events went better than anticipated and much gratitude is owed to our sponsors for hosting the events,” YANG Member Jon Clements said. “The purpose of our Regional Meet-Ups is to invite current and new YANG members to a social networking and community involvement opportunity.”
The Tampa meet-up, held in conjunction with the Automotive Content Professionals Network (ACPN) Knowledge Exchange, was sponsored by JNPSoft and held at American Social. Attendance exceeded expectations with new attendees receiving invitations to network with YANG members. 61 attendees participated in the April 26 event.
“Many thanks to ACPN for allowing us the opportunity to put on our event during their meeting,” Clements said. “The attendees loved the outside atmosphere with a beautiful view of the water. Sometimes, these conferences have tight agendas, so it’s always a positive to be able to enjoy the outside weather in a more relaxed environment.”
On May 9, YANG’s meet-up was held during the Auto Care Association’s Leadership Conference. The event sponsors and hosts were Lumileds, Experian and The Network.
Clements shared, “We expected to have between 45 and 55 people show up to our event based on registration, but because of the social aspect of others inviting new attendees, we were able to surpass that number and have well over 65 people come to the event to network.”
YANG met again on May 13 at Northwood University in Southfield, MI, and was held in conjunction with their Aftermarket 101 training course. The meeting was sponsored by Lumileds.
