WIN Conference 2017 Day1 Attendees

The 2017 Women's Industry Network (WIN) Educational Conference, "Be Extraordinary with Balance, Purpose and Results," began energetically on Monday, May 8 with a Registration Reception and New Member Orientation, followed by the Opening General Session and WIN Welcome.

Event emcees Susanna Gotsch and Cheryl Hart hosted the General Session, providing an overview of the agenda and other housekeeping items.

The WIN Welcome was delivered by WIN Chair Petra Schroeder, who thanked attendees, sponsors and association founders for their support. She also shared WIN's strategic goals: to build the WIN network and to build the organizational capacity to support that network. Schroeder also recognized departing WIN Board Members Denise Caspersen, Susanna Gotsch, Terri Neely and Amy Nuttall, as well as the 2017 Most Influential Women (MIW) recipients: Cristina Fronzaglia-Murray, Renee Ricciotti and Liz Stein.

The educational portion of the conference began with "Unspoken Keys to Success," presented by Body Language Expert Traci Brown, who discussed the value of paying attention in order to correctly interpret body language. Conference attendees tested their knowledge of body language in a gameshow format, Body Language Blitz, learning about the meaning of different styles of handshakes, crossed arms and upturned palms.

WIN's 2017 Educational Conference will continue through Wednesday, May 10 with a plethora of educational presentations and a variety of fun networking events that enable association members to get to know one another. This evening's magic show and tomorrow night's Most Influential Women (MIW) Gala and Awards Ceremony are highly anticipated by attendees.
