Glaser’s Collision Centers, GEICO Donate Refurbished Vehicle

Locally-owned and operated Glaser’s Collision Centers in Kentucky and GEICO Insurance teamed up through the National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides® program recently to help make life better for a single mother and her son.

Working with the Louisville, KY, nonprofit Critically Loved, a deserving single mother was identified to receive a refurbished vehicle.


Arturia Godfrey is a single mother raising her 10-year-old son, who has autism. Help providing reliable transportation is important to not only get to work but also to ensure her son attends physical therapy, and, when Godfrey has time, visit her family in Lexington, KY.
Godfrey, along with her son, DJ, were presented a 2018 Nissan Altima with the hopes of helping navigate life a little easier. The vehicle was donated by GEICO and refurbished by Glaser’s Collision Centers.


Additional services were provided by Kaiser Tires, including new tires and a year of oil changes, Enterprise Rent-a-Car and Gipe Auto Color. Many individuals made donations to help with car expenses and gifts for Christmas for both Arturia and DJ.    
“I’m overwhelmed that I was selected to receive the car,” said Godfrey. “Having a reliable car considerably reduces my stress so I can focus on DJ and his needs.”
