U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Receives Donated Vehicle at Celebration

In appreciation of our military members and their sacrifice, Teri, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran from Minnesota, received a newly refurbished vehicle.

The Honda Odyssey was donated by American Family Insurance and fully restored by LaMettry’s Collision with help from industry partners.

 

Speakers at the celebration May 25 included U.S. Rep. Dean Phillips, Minnesota Rep. Kelly Morrison and Darrell Amberson, LaMettry’s president of operations.

 

Amberson handed over the keys to Teri at the celebration ceremony.

 

“It is a privilege and honor to be part of a company and an industry that is willing to invest time and dollars to make this happen. It is humbling that people from various industry entities work in harmony for what is ultimately for the common good of our community,” said Amberson.
 
“It is so overwhelming, and I can’t talk because you guys have just taken [away] the last two years of stress in just this one day…So just know that I’m very thankful," Teri said. "It’s the time with the children that you just gave me back.”
 
“My gratitude is beyond heartfelt, because we need days like this setting politics aside to come together as a community and do good by people," Phillips said. "There is no better manifestation of that then today…This is what we need to do more of. So to all of you, I am grateful for your leadership, and for your inspiration. May we do more of it. May Minnesota...
