Investigators are working to determine what started a fire that ripped through a Newark, OH, auto body shop April 30.

The fire broke out that evening at an auto body shop at the intersection of McKinley and Montgomery avenues.


Firefighters are continuing to work to put out flames inside the shop and said crews are still facing a dangerous situation.


Crews were able to prevent neighboring buildings from sustaining damage.


Firefighters said the owner and renter of the building are on scene and are cooperating with the investigation.


No one was injured in the fire.


McKinley Avenue is expected to be shut down for an extended period of time.
