Established Auto Body Repair Shop Finds New Home in Maple Park, IL

Cliff's Auto Body & RV recently opened the doors to its new 6,000-square-foot auto body repair shop after 54 years in West Chicago, IL.


Now located next to the Sycamore Speedway in the old location of Bob-Jo's Cycle at 50W112 Old State Road, Cliff's Auto Body & RV is eager to serve the new community.


Cliff's specializes in collision repair, RV services and award-winning restorations. The shop also does early model metric motorcycles, Harley Davidsons and current metric motorcycles. Cliff's is able to do 100 percent restoration, body work and mechanical jobs.


Owner Zach Zylinski, an Elburn native, bought the shop from his father, Jerry Zylinski, in 2014.


Jerry purchased Cliff's in 1987 from the original owner, who started in 1964. Zach started the move from their West Chicago shop in mid-November.


After 54 years in business, Zach said the move seemed like the right direction to help his business continue to grow.


"Our main reason for moving was growth due to the economic upturn in the last three years; the extra room in the shop will really help us reach our full potential. There are a lot of capabilities we have, but the old shop was holding us back a little," Zach said. "The main focus with the new shop is ... collision repair, RV service, roof repair and award-winning restorations."


With more than 60 years of experience combined, the team at Cliff's services more than 250 vehicles a year. A particular project the team reflects on was a full restoration of a RX-7, which was displayed at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show.


Zach is excited to be in the new location.


"The difference with us is we really treat our customers like family,” he said. “We want the community to feel welcome here. Hopefully we can even sponsor some T-ball teams come springtime."
