The victim told deputies that when he picked up his vehicle on Aug. 30, he discovered his tool box open and approximately 100 mechanics’ tools missing. The tools were valued at about $5,000, the report said.
The business manager told deputies that after the vehicle was fixed, it was parked outside during the day but inside the shop at night, according to the report.
As of Sept. 14, no items had been recovered and no arrests had been made, Sheriff’s Office Cpl. Matthew Moore said. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
