This years’ trailer joins a previous competition trailer that was supplied in 2011. The newest equipment supplied includes a custom, portable paint booth trailer for a total of 16 state-of-the-art spraying stalls which will be used for the SkillsUSA color matching competition.
The new addition provided an opportunity for more than 5,000 students (ages 17-30) to get hands-on experience in the collision sector.
AkzoNobel was involved in the creation of the 53-foot rig designed by Rick Farnan to advance the training offered at this year’s event. The company said the new mobile spray booth is more than a state-of-the-art machine; it is helping to improve the quality of the industry workforce and encouraging the next generation of auto aftermarket painters to see past what they thought was possible.
