ABRA Auto Body & Glass Expands in Minnesota

ABRA Auto Body & Glass announced on August 28 it had expanded in Minnesota with the acquisition of all six Lehman’s Garage locations. All locations are within the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

ABRA opened its first repair center in Fridley, Minnesota in 1984 and now operates 40 repair centers in the state. Its national repair center count has grown to 318 in 23 states.

President and Chief Executive Officer of ABRA Auto Body & Glass, Duane Rouse says the company looks forward to building on the success of the long standing Lehman’s Garage brand.

“Today’s acquisition is particularly special for us as Lehman’s has been serving the community for almost a century. The history, the reputation, and the dedication of the company to providing exceptional customer service and quality repairs is undeniable and we are eager to carry that tradition of excellence forward.”

Former Chief Executive Officer of Lehman’s Garage, Karen Cossette says it wasn’t unusual for potential buyers to show interest in her company, but it was ABRA’s similarities that made the difference.

“We’ve been approached by many companies over the years. We chose ABRA because their work ethics closely resemble ours and we share like-minded values of integrity, employee talent, and a commitment to customers. We’re proud to have them continue the legacy we’ve built over the years.”

ABRA has its own long history as a collision repair provider of choice in the Twin Cities metro and across the country.

Executive Vice President of Business Development at ABRA Auto Body & Glass, Tim Adelmann said, “We have built outstanding partnerships with insurance carriers and vehicle owners over the past thirty plus years of serving the area. We are confident our partners will continue to entrust us with their collision repair needs in each of these newest locations.”

As it plans to continue expanding in the months and years ahead, ABRA is actively seeking new opportunities to acquire repair centers and integrate them into its industry-leading operating system.
