Forty collision shop owners and managers attended to learn about what the Minnesota Department of Commerce does, focusing on the department’s role in regulating insurer claims practices. Attendees also received an update on the association’s current initiatives and upcoming events.
Representatives from the Minnesota Department of Commerce were present to explain their role and jurisdiction, how to file a complaint with them, the importance of well-written documentation and the department’s process for handling complaints, including what shops can expect after filing a complaint. The representatives also shared information about some recent enforcement actions that pertain to the collision repair industry.
