On May 12-14, the Automotive Recyclers of Michigan (ARM) held its Annual Road Show Business Networking Conference at the Highway Auto Parts Yard in Roseville MI, one of the busiest yards in the Detroit Metro area.

The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of Minnesota (AASP-MN) awarded $14,000 in scholarships to help post-secondary automotive students pay for tuition during the 2016-17 school year.

April marks the beginning of service for the 2016–‘17 Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of Minnesota (AASP-MN) Board of Directors. The Association welcomed Carl Thomas, Lancer Service Auto Care, St. Paul , Bruce Tschida, Lake Marion Collision, Lakeville, and Dave Bock, Auto Value Parts Stores/APH, St. Cloud, to the Board of Directors.

The VISION awards committee announced and awarded the inaugural ASA-Midwest President’s Award and the annual Educator of the Year award during the 2016 VISION HiTech Training & Expo in Overland Park, Kansas.

The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of Minnesota (AASP-MN) held its 2016 Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference, April 14, at the Ramada Plaza, Minneapolis. The event, with the theme “Lead the Way,” offered seminars covering topics from effective leadership, industry consolidation, and authentic persuasion to how to increase diagnostic labor sales and improve workflow scheduling. In addition, there were ample opportunities for networking and socializing with industry peers.


The Bloomington Chapter met at the Crazy Horse Food & Drink Emporium.

In February, the Indiana Auto Body Association (IABA) held five chapter meetings to present upcoming changes to the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

The Wisconsin Auto Collision Technicians Association Ltd (WACTAL) held its 2016 Convention and Trade Show at the Ho-Chunk Conference Center in Baraboo, WI on February 26 and 27.
