It has been months since the Gulf Coast was devastated by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. No more pictures of homes and businesses torn apart. Long gone are the photos of cars on top of houses. Relief workers have "disaster fatigue." You may be tired of seeing this story again.

The Collision Industry Relief Fund is still in business helping families get back on their feet. Call 888-66-PRIDE (888-667-7433); www.collisionindustryrelief.com is the place to go to make a donation.

The cost of putting one automotive technician back to work is over $4,800. Tools for Techs is making donating a little easier. On the site, www.toolsfortechs.org , there is a list of tools, including the stock numbers from Sears, so necessary tools can be ordered and delivered directly to Tools for Techs, 4311 Shady River, Missouri City, Texas 77459 to save on shipping expenses.

Remember, these are not hand outs, but a helping hand to those willing to help themselves.

If you are in need of assistance, do not hesitate to contact these organizations who are ready and willing to help.
