SCRS Quick Tips: What is Not Included in Paint and Materials?

Share This:

Mike Anderson of Collision Advice and Danny Gredinberg of DEG, in partnership with the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS), present Quick Tips for those in the collision repair industry.

Learn what is, and is not included, in your paint and materials. It’s critical for repair facilities to take a close look at the cost of consumable items such as sanding belts, cutoff wheels, boron drill bits and other limited-use items that are part of the repair process. These items wouldn’t be otherwise captured and identified without adding as a line-item on your repair plan.

Many owners may be surprised if they have not previously taken steps to account for a detailed list of materials. Do you use an invoicing system? Do you have a process in place to capture quantities used from technicians? Do you have a process to effectively line-item the not-included materials in your repair plan and final bill?

This video will help owners, managers and technicians consider and capture the materials being used in the repair process.
