Designed by the same firm that makes the Oscar and the Emmy, the Telly statuette matches its famous relatives in grace, beauty and stature.
Three Tellys currently reside in the unique setting of the Collision Repair and Refinish Department at the Toyota National Headquarters in California. Awarded in recognition of the development and production of the Toyota and Lexus “Advanced Painting Techniques” video training programs, the honors are as follows:

A fifteen-year veteran of the University of Toyota, Body Service Supervisor Roger Larsen has overseen the program and managed curriculum serving, along with Norman Anderson, as the executive producer of the Telly Award winning videos.
To facilitate this effort, BASF representatives supplied technical support and refinish products for the video shoot. “At the time of the video, we were beginning to introduce waterborne products to our technicians,” explained Larsen, “and for this project we used BASF Glasurit 90 Line for part of the shoot. BASF has always provided excellent support for our refinish program which is very much recognized and appreciated. The end goal is customer satisfaction for Toyota.”
Larsen continued that now all Toyotas are painted with waterborne at the factory. “We are moving into the contemporary process of waterborne. Toyota is taking a position to be environmentally friendly – it’s only right!”
