The PPG show truck will make an appearance at the car show. PPG's popular show truck is a bold red, white and blue tractor-trailer rig. PPG describes the truck as a rolling exhibit of premium PPG products. The truck gives show attendees a chance to see PPG’s innovative products, hottest colors and dazzling special effects. So far this year, tour stops included car shows and events sponsored by the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association and other major auto groups.

At the truck’s large pop-up display, PPG representatives will welcome the public and answer any questions visitors have about any of PPG’s brands including Deltron®, the Vibrance Collection®, Global Refinish System®, Envirobase® High Performance and Aquabase® Plus.

For the second year, this year’s show features the PPG Lowrider Palace. It is a lowrider exhibit sponsored by PPG, the official paint supplier of the Goodguys shows, and is the brainchild of Ray Garcia, PPG territory manager. Garcia is a member of lowrider car club Switch San Diego.

"I thought lowriders deserved to be recognized and have their own category at Del Mar. Goodguys agreed, and together we created the PPG Lowrider Palace," said Garcia. "Lowriders are an important part of the California car culture. The owners take great pride in their cars and put a lot of time and money into them to make them unique. As a PPG rep, I especially love the cars' awesome colors and finishes — a lot of VIBRANCE COLLECTION® effects — they're unbelievable."
