Management Success recently announced that the 25-year-old management consulting company will be rebranding its services to DRIVE, a name that better aligns with the innovative and cutting-edge services it offers.

The announcement was made during Management Success’s Shop Owner’s Expo, which took place from Oct.19--21 in Pomona, CA.

According to DRIVE CEO Bill Kilpatrick, “The rebrand to DRIVE is a significant development for our industry. It is a strong shift tightly integrating management services with trending aftermarket technology.”

Hundreds of shop owners, industry leaders, trade associations and parts suppliers attended the semi-annual event. Held at the Sheraton Fairplex, the Shop Owner’s Expo began on Thursday evening with a welcome reception hosted by NAPA AutoCare. The reception featured a selection of Oktoberfest-themed food and beverages and a visit with NAPA AutoCare vendors, who shared information about the latest resources available to shops.

Kareem Abouzeid of Knockout Collision Repair in Chico, CA, shared, “It was a really great start to the expo with delicious food and thousands of dollars in giveaways. I left the event feeling inspired and excited to move into the weekend’s agenda.”

The rebranding was announced during Friday morning’s general session. Friday also included the event’s vendor exposition, which featured 30 vendors in the hotel’s 10,600-square-foot exhibit hall. Vendors included Jasper Engines, Podium, AutoVitals, Demandforce, Bolt On, RepairPal and many more.

Kilpatrick noted, “This is the most extraordinary event we have ever held. The keynote speaker and presenters, exhibitors and the shop owner turnout; it was fantastic.”

Friday afternoon featured an industry update on the automotive aftermarket and predictions for the industry’s future delivered by NAPA President Dan Askey.

Mark Guerrero, owner of Infinity Automotive in Wichita, KS, recalled, “[Askey] went into their financials and kind of put it out there. It’s obvious they are a company that will be around for years to come.”

Summer Guerrero, co-owner of Infinity Automotive and Mark’s wife, added, “Having inspirational speakers shows us, the owners, that there’s a higher level. We are always looking for that person who’s going to speak to us personally and help kick us into a higher gear. These guest speakers were phenomenal.”
