A Toledo, OH, business owner wants action after thieves hit his shop twice in a week.

 

Lou Berard, a beloved member of the Hadley, MI, community as a small business owner and 30-year member of the Hadley Lions Club, was hospitalized for burns to his face and body sustained in a fire Jan. 2 at the family’s automotive repair business.

 

The Alliance for Automotive Innovation, a trade association for the automotive industry, recently filed a lawsuit in Massachusetts' federal court, aiming to block enforcement of the Right to Repair ballot initiative passed by state voters in the November 2020 election.

 

The hourly minimum wage in California rose to $14 on Jan. 1, and will climb to $15 in 2023.
