High volume, lower pressure

The QRS is available from 3 hp to 15 hp, and shortly 20, 25 and 30 hp models will be available for shipment. Body shops require a high volume (cfm) of air but not as high a pressure as other applications, so starting at 10 hp, the QRS is available with 125 psig operating pressures (standard is 150 psig). At 125 psig, the QRS delivers 10% to 20% higher capacity (cfm) depending on the model.

Rotary screw air compressors have been in use in industrial plants for over 40 years, and have replaced many reciprocating compressors because of their reliability, serviceability, compact design and the ability to deliver high quality compressed air.

The ability of the QRS to run continuously when several grinders and sanders are operating, and not affect the paint spray booth makes the QRS an excellent compressed air system for body and paint shops.

"The QRS is the absolute best choice for every body shop that is serious about the quality of their work. The quality compressed air system provided by the QRS is the beginning of producing a quality automobile or truck repair," according to Peter Beers, western region sales manager for Chicago Pneumatic's Vehicle Service Division and a 20-year veteran in body and paint shop equipment.
