3M has designed a simple system called the 3M brand Paint Preparation System (PPS) for easier, more reliable and more effective mixing and preparing of paint, primer, basecoats and clearcoats. And 3M now offers a 6-ounce mini cup system to better accommodate all mixing and paint spraying applications.
The paint preparation system from 3M consists of a hard cup with a collapsible liner and built-in strainer. The closed system means painters can mix, shake and spray with one cup and it helps eliminate leaks and drips. The system's disposable liner reduces the use of paint gun cleaning solvent and the need for hazardous materials disposal. Lids are also provided and feature a built-in paint strainer that snaps easily into the liner. The strainer allows the gun to run cleaner with less waste and mess. This feature offers terrific productivity because the gun can be sprayed from any orientation, making difficult angles much easier to cover. And the closed system means less outside contamination for cleaner jobs. The only equipment that requires cleaning is the gun, so after a quick wash everything is in place for the next job. 3M says this can mean a savings of up to seventy percent on cleaning solvent along with a reduction in hazardous waste and a savings in labor cost. 3M says its paint preparation system offers users tangible savings in time and materials while promoting health and safety for workers. |
