Honda's first new zero-emission, hydrogen fuel cell car rolled off a Japanese production line June 16 and is on its way to California. Honda expects to lease up to 200 units of the zero-emissions vehicle there within a year at $600 month including maintenance. The FCX Clarity, which runs on hydrogen and electricity, emits only water in its exhaust. It is also two times more energy efficient than a gas-electric hybrid and three times that of a standard gasoline-powered car, the company says.

DuPont Performance Coatings has introduced ColorNet Color Proofing, an application that allows painters to visually compare the vehicle color to the closest available paint formula using an ordinary computer monitor. This patented application is designed to help collision repair facilities put technology to work for faster, more accurate color matching.
Using the system, painters are able to retrieve and compare alternate colors on their computer screen, which the company says will significantly increase the speed of color matching and eliminate the need for inefficient color alternate decks.
The DuPont ColorNet Color Proofing application is only available to collision repair facilities using DuPont Cromax Pro waterborne basecoat. For more information, please call the DuPont Performance Coatings Customer Care Center at 800-668-6945.

Scene Genesis AuditSentry, software that lets auto insurers easily review repair estimates for compliance with audit rules, has been unveiled by Scene Genesis, Inc. AuditSentry is a significant improvement over a manual estimate-review process. The Web-based tool accepts data files from all three major auto estimating systems and verifies compliance against the insurer's audit rules, tracks changes and compares them to submitted supplements.
