Zook Auto Body now offers collision repair, auto detailing and rental car assistance. The new building will incorporate green technology such as low emissivity windows, which absorbs less heat from the sun and gas-radiant heating, which uses less energy to heat rooms, said Caldwell.
The expansion also will allow the shop to expand its labor force, going from nine employees to at least 14 in the new facility.
Caldwell said the business has built its reputation over its more than 40 years in the Twin Cities. The new location will make it easy for longtime customers to reach the shop for repairs, he said.
“It’s generational customers; I’ve worked on people’s cars whose kids were very small and then I’ve seen them grow up,” Caldwell said. “Referrals are the cornerstone of our business.”
