Attendees enjoyed a nice evening of learning and friendship as well as a BBQ dinner. Chris Chesney of Advance/Carquest discussed "Modernizing Automotive Education.”
IGONC Executive Director Bob Pulverenti shared, "Chris let us all know about programs designed to work on getting and keeping the younger generation interested in the aftermarket automotive industry. Our members are always interested in making sure the industry attracts new talent.
"The event is a monthly gathering of garage owners to discuss changes in regulations, new technology and products available to them to help their business run to the best of its ability. Running a business requires a constant effort to stay on top of your industry, and we help our members do that."
The Triangle Chapter of IGONC will hold its next meeting on March 6 with a presentation by Scott Thorley on Protractor, Automotive Management's new software/management system. For more information on the association and its scheduled meetings, visit www.igonc.com.
