AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings Americas (A&AC) will host the 39th semi-annual gathering of the Acoat selected North American Performance Groups. This meeting is the first of two national Acoat selected gatherings held annually by AkzoNobel, one of the top coatings manufacturers in the world.  The conference, scheduled for February 6th thru 8th at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota, will provide information and insights for two groups critical for shaping the future of the collision repair industry.

“Acoat selected‘s record of success in helping businesses advance within the collision repair industry spans more than 25 years,” noted Barry Rinehart, North American Services Manager for AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings Americas. ”The rapidly changing dynamics of the collision industry are redefining the roles or distributors and collision repair centers.  Both groups are required to become more astute in their business practices to ensure mutual success.  This conference, with programs designed for both their unique and combined needs, offers a format to raise awareness, share knowledge and craft solutions to industry issues that are critical for long term survival and sustainability.”

In addition, attendees will participate in an extensive offering of classes designed to promote practices intended to perpetuate sustainable business models.  The curriculum will address industry trends, technology and leadership training.

The Women's Indsutry Network announced on October 24 the location for their 2012 annual conference. The conference is scheduled to take place at the InterContinental Buckhead in Atlanta, GA, May 6-8, 2012.
